SONORA radio Model “Sonorette-Princesse” in mint condition and well playing Trade mark : SONORA Model : Sonorette-Princesse Year : 1955 Condition : Excellent The proposed radio was manufactured by SONORA company, model Sonotrette-Princesse (2nd version) – particularly seldom in this colour- in 1955. The radio is medium in size and with its rounded shapes, the radio has a very pleasing design.. The housing is made of bakelite in deep-yellow colour (buttercup yellow). The housing has a shiny aspect and it has no damage, just a few small signs of wear due to its age. The front panel consists of a lower part with a mirror showing the names of the radio stations and the wavelength and above a metallic grid. The last photo is a copy of the advertisement for the SONORA radios exhibiting the different model for Sonorette-Princesse (not included in the sale). Nevertheless, a copy of the document will be included with the radio. The radio plays on wavebands LW, MW, SW1 (OC). The left knob is for the volume and on/off switch The right knob is for waveband selection. The knob at the middle is for the radio station tuning. The radio is operating on 110/127 Volts (a transformer is necessary to drop the voltage to 110 volts). The radio has been professionally serviced very carefully. The radio tunes well the stations on the entire frequency bands. Dimensions : 28 cm wide, 21 cm high and 18.5 cm deep, weight : 2.9 kg. Radio will be very well packaged with lot of care, and sent by registered mail.
