Located at the gates of Pauillac, on one of the most beautiful ridges of the commune, overlooking the Gironde estuary, Château Lynch-Bages owes part of its name to the very old hamlet of Bages and the Lynch family (d 'Irish ancestry), who has overseen the destiny of the estate since the 18th century. Bought in 1934 by the Cazes family and already very renowned, Lynch Bages took a new step with the arrival of Jean-Michel Cazes at the helm in 1974. He then put all his energy, his talent and his charisma at the service of this field whose quality and notoriety he further raises. But even beyond his wine, it is Bordeaux and the French vineyard that he will become a tireless ambassador, traveling the whole world to meet an ever-widening circle of passionate wine lovers. Today, his son Jean-Charles takes over, to whom he handed over the reins of the estate in 2006. Manual harvesting, rigorous selection and aging for 12 to 15 months produce wines of great concentration, marked by the richness of the tannins, where spicy and menthol notes dominate. Over time, they develop an incomparable aromatic complexity.
