1 bottle of Il Sodaccio Di Montevertine 1997, It is a first attempt at a corporate "cru", produced from a single vinevard of 1.5 hectares planted in 1972, facing south-south-east at a height between 380 and 420 asl, on calcareous, hard and stony soil, contiguous to the historic Pergole Torte vineyard. Created upon specific request as an exclusive by Giorgio Pinchiorri, it was produced in 12 years between 1981 and 1998. In reality, only 1981 and 1982 remained exclusive to Pinchiorri, while with the 1983 it began to be marketed to all. The vineyard abandoned after 1998, overwhelmed by the disease of the esca, and today the Sangiovese produced in the new replanted vineyard is destined for Pergole Torte.
