Ming Dynasty Pottery Male Servant Figure Circa 14th-17th century AD An interesting mould-made terracotta attendant figure standing on a raised, square-shaped base. The gentleman wears a long, green-glazed robe with contrasting accents on sides, black boots, and a red high hat. His face displays a serene expression with deep-set eyes, a small nose, and smiling lips. Mingqi, "spirit objects" are small terracotta statues usually depicting court ladies, servants, dancers, and musicians - both men and women, but also horses, other domestic animals, mystical beasts and miniature architectural models of houses, farms, granaries.
