The state of Nuevo Leon in northeastern Mexico became an increasingly violent place. This book is a compilation of images and texts that obsessively revisit places where the war was eventually fought and look for signs of an evil that lay underneath but was invisible to everyone´s eyes at the moment these images were shot.“ Texts by César Valdez, edited by Fernando Gallegos, design concept by Alejandro Cartagena and Fernando Gallegos, editorial design by Roberto Salazar. Alejandro Cartagena is a Dominican Republic-born Mexican photographer. His work is held in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art.
