"Through the Looking Glass", also known as "Alice", was the first game ever released for the Apple Macintosh. The 1984 video game was written for the "Apple Lisa" and "Apple Macintosh" computers. It was written by "Steve Capps", a member of the Lisa and Mac teams and it was the only games disk officially sold by Apple Computer during that era. Steve Jobs insisted that Apple publish the game themselves, rather than through a third party publisher. Apple published the game in 1984, but it did not receive the marketing push that Jobs had promised as Apple was trying to make the Mac look like a serious computer (and not a game computer).
