Condition Firm and well-bound copy. Light wear to corners, and minor rubbing to head and tail of spine with some faded marks on covers. Internally the book is in very good condition. Very old inscription within white label, dated July 26th 1894 on inside front cover page. Pages are clean with light spotting marks on some pages, and page edges. All pages are tightly held at the gutter. Inner hinges are very good. The text is clean. Although Darwin revisited some areas during the expedition, for clarity the chapters of the book are ordered by reference to places and locations rather than by date.
