The ram played an important role in many ancient cultures. In classical Greece, it was viewed as a symbol of sexual power and virility. In Rome there were similar beliefs. Rams were associated with fertility and new life, and were also a part of funeral rites and sacrificial offerings.
A Ram Amulet was usually worn as a sign of virility and for protection against the evil eye.
