◆Hinomaru Yosegaki Flag 日の丸 寄せ書き Size: 35×43 cm Material: silk ◆Military personal Notebook Size: 14×9×1 cm ◆Furoshiki (Japanese wrapping cloth) Size: 66×66 cm Material: silk This flag reads "祈武運長久 Ki-Buun-Choukyu". These Kanji characters are the most commonly used for Yosegaki flags. Although it is only 5 kanji characters, it is such a wonderful word for soldiers, full of power. It means, "Good luck on the battlefield, and come home alive!" It is a very powerful phrase that is full of energy and power. On the Furoshiki, "忠君愛国 Chukun-aikoku" is written. This means "pledge allegiance to the nation of Japan and fight for your country". The Military Personal Handbook contains a lot of personal information about the young soldier. Education, grades, enlistment history, etc. It also contains his address. Ochi County, Ehime Prefecture. This is the location of a cluster of small islands in the Seto Inland Sea.
