Tenuta di Trinoro is an Italian wine producer, located on the border of Umbria and Tuscany. It was established in 1992 by Andrea Franchetti from Bordeaux cuttings, and now produces a range of wines focused largely on Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The estate is located in a natural amphitheatre, where the mesoclimate is warm and well-protected by the surrounding hills. This creates ideal conditions for grapes to ripen to their full potential, and the resultant wine is concentrated in flavor compounds. The soils are made up of blue clay, rock and gravel, which is particularly well-suited to Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
