The Hennessy distillery was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy - an Irish officer in the service of Louis XV's army - who before anyone else was able to understand what could have been the extraordinary commercial potential of Cognac brandy. This gave rise to the Hennessy maison, which in addition to currently representing the largest producer of Cognac in the world, is also the company that first made the distillate famous, in France and beyond. Hennessy XO has elegance and complexity, it is made up of more than one hundred spirits (some dating back to the beginning of the last century) that come from the largest reserves of old Cognacs in the world and which rest well preserved in the Hennessy cellars.
