It is sometimes described as one of appreciating beauty that is "imperfect and incomplete" in nature.) ** (Acacia is a long-lived material that does not rot when exposed to rain. It will nicely represent itself indoors and outdoors.) *** (Yakisugi (焼杉) is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation. By slightly charring the surface of the wood without combusting the whole piece, the wood becomes water-proof through the carbonisation and is thus more durable.
