The Platinum #3776 Century is made by the Platinum Pen Company (Japan, founded in 1919). The body is made of semi-transparent resin in burgundy red, with yellow gold plated trims and pen clip. This allows for the feature of being able to see the nib and converter inside/through the pen. The cap features a ‘Slip and Seal’ mechanism to prevent ink from drying out. The 14 karat gold nib, which is decently pliable and springy, shows the Platinum logo, as well as the model number and nib size. Even though the Nib size is M for medium, Japanese fountain pens usually write a size smaller compared to their Western counterparts. The pen is in excellent condition and was only taken out of the box on few occasions for test writing. The barrel and cap have no visible scratches or any signs of damage.
