Barolo 2015 is a fine Italian wine produced by Burlotto, one of the most relevant names in the panorama of Piedmontese wines. It is obtained from Nebbiolo grapes that grow on medium-textured calcareous soil tending towards sandy. The bunches are harvested manually and the vinification involves a 15-day fermentation-maceration in oak vats, with daily pumping over and punching down. Subsequently the wine matures for approximately 10 months in 3-5 HL barrels and for approximately 20 months in oak barrels. After bottling the wine rests in the cellar for at least 12 months before being marketed. Burlotto's Barolo 2015 shows a deep ruby red color to the eye; on the nose it releases hints of plum and berries, dried flowers, spices and earthy aromas. The sip is structured, savory, tannic and persistent.
