“Zorkiy” is the name of a number of rangefinder and scale cameras for type 135 film, produced in the USSR in 1948-1988 by the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant (KMZ) in the city of Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region. The name comes from the telegraph address of the plant, assigned to it during the Great Patriotic War. The first model is “Zorkiy”, an almost exact copy of the German camera “Leica II”, subsequent ones are its modifications and original developments.
