Rembrandt, Ingres, Giorgione, Durer (after) - Christ Healing the Sick - The 100 gulders print - and old masters prints (4)

Nice collection of Rembrandt and other old master prints. 1 Rare and beautifull Christ Healing the Sick" etching after Rembrandt Van Rijn (Dutch 1606-1669) from the 100 Guilder Prints On the back there is a stamp from the Reichsdruckerei Berlin: The reason for the "facsimile" stamp is the excellent work of the artists at the Reichsdruckerei and the fact that the Reich prints are usually indistinguishable from their original artwork. The dimensions of the sheets and printing plates usually correspond exactly to the original templates. The sheet offered here comes from the editions of the Reichsdruckerei. Based on the blind stamp, the sheet dates from around 1890. Circular blindstamp circling eagles head on the right down corner. Excellent condition. Exact similar found online see last pic The Reich Printing Office was a direct institution of the German Reich in Berlin under the direction of the Reich State Post Secretary. “Reichsdrucke”, mainly in the form of copper engravings. Due to the deceptive similarity of these prints to the corresponding originals, they have each been marked with a blind stamp on the lower right edge and in facsimile at the center of the spine to avoid confusion so close was the print compare with the original. 279 x 393 mm, with margin 381 x 562 2 Albrecht Durer After.
