J-F Charles Archives Auction
When JF Charles was a boy, “Le Pinceau d’Or” (the golden paintbrush) was the shop sign of the local drugstore. They sold all kinds of things: paint, wallpaper, cleaning products but also … sketchbooks! His parents never refused JF a sketchbook. He would fill them with drawings at the dinner table while his brothers were playing outside. In remembrance of those days, that laid the foundation of his artistic talents, JF Charles has now created a special sketchbook containing 25 full colour drawings that span his career to date. Only 150 signed and numbered copies are available. This week, we auction 25 sketchbooks, each accompanied by one of the 25 original artworks!
