Ancient Roman bronze ring with an oval bezel engraved with a symmetrical geometric motif. The bezel is framed by short radiating incised lines along the border. The shoulders taper gently and are decorated with a linear design. Plain ring band.

→ 古代ローマのブロンズ製リング。オーバル型のベゼルには対称的な幾何文様が刻まれています。境界線には短い放射状の刻線が周囲を囲んでいます。ショルダーはなだらかに細まり、直線的なデザインで装飾されています。リングバンドは無地です。

Geometric motifs of this type were widely used Roman jewellery. The symmetrical four-part design may symbolically refer to balance or the four directions. The small punched dots within each section can be interpreted as stylised seeds or life symbols, while the short radiating lines along the bezel edge resemble a solar border, possibly alluding to protection, vitality, or life-giving forces. Such abstract engravings likely served both decorative and symbolic purposes.
