Description: Magnificent large antique French wine claret jug (Aiguière) from the late 19th century (circa 1880–1900), executed in the elegant Historicism / Napoleon III style.The jug features a heavy, beautifully hand-cut crystal body and an exquisite solid silver mount. The hinged lid and handle are decorated with finely detailed classical relief ornaments.
