非常に美しく重い鈎状の剣、 Ngondi ヤコマ/ンバンディ

この曲がり剣は、ヤコマ、ンバンディ、サンゴ、グバンジリ、ムグブの実用刃を模して作られた、高級な威信の象徴でした。重いナイフが戦闘やその他の実用目的に用いられる一方で、このように軽いナイフは女性の成人儀式にのみ用いられ、年長者の威信を示す象徴となっていました。ンバンディ族にはこの威信刃を ngondi（エルセン『鉄と誇り』、2003）と呼ぶとされます。
Ngondi Ngbandi Yakoma の剣は複数のサイズがあり、この剣は女性の成人儀式用の平均よりはるかに大きく、刃はそれらより小さいものが多いです。非常に美しく、素晴らしい一品ですが、秤がないため本当に重いことを改めて明記します。軽いものが出た場合には、別途明記します。
