このタイプの斧は kilonda と呼ばれ、主にソンゲ族によって生産されましたが、Nsapo やルバ族によっても作られていました。形状は実戦武器に大きく影響を受けているものの、それらは厳密には威信と装飾の象徴でした。ソンゲの鍛冶職人は鍛冶の名工として広く認められており、熱間・冷間の鍛造技術を用いてこれらの刃を飾り立てました（Elsen, De fer et de fierté, 2003； Lefebvre & De Waele, Kilonda, 2011； Neyt, Songye, 2004）。
美しいソンゲ族の kilonda 斧は比較的軽量です。
そのサイズ（やや小さめ）を考えると、これはやや普通です。
古さは確定ではなく、1930年代後半〜40年代頃の方が古いはずです。
銅のインクルージョンには刻刻はなく、刃の刻みもあまり複雑ではありません。
しかし銅の真鍮が本物のインクルージョンとして入る、美しい小さな kilonda 斧です。
柄を覆う赤銅全体に点描の美しい仕上げ。
