中国製の塗装された土人形の戦士頭部の断片で、陶器の墳墓人像または守護役の attendant の頭部の可能性があります。頭部は空洞成形で、厚い粘土の胴体と、まっすぐな鼻、確かな口元、はっきりとした耳、厳しい表情を強く立体化した顔立ちです。赤・灰・黒・淡色の顔料が表面に残っており、土埃と経年の摩耗も見られます。
仮面のような表情処理、彩色面、空洞構造、力強い表情は、漢代の葬送用陶器人像を彷彿とさせます。そのような像は、墳墓にmingqiとして安置されることが多く、戦士・護衛・従者・あるいは身分と来世に関連する保護的な像として描かれていました。
