インカ / チャンカ石槌頭部 – 12世紀から紀元前後16世紀初頭
中央アンデス地域 originate し、チャンカまたはインカ文化圏に帰属する細密に彫刻された星形の石槌頭部。木製軸に取り付けるための中央穿孔から六つの丸い葉状突起が放射状に展開しており、この種の槌頭は後期前コロンブス期ペルーの武器として最も特徴的なものの一つであり、戦争だけでなく位階・権力・軍事栄誉の象徴としても高く評価されました。
密度の高い灰色の石、恐らく安山岩または極細粒の火山性玄武岩で慎重に成形され、対称的なデザインと滑らかな表面を示します。穿孔はよく保存され、外部には古代の摩耗、軽微な擦り傷、そして何世紀にもわたって蓄積した均質な考古学的錆などが見られます。頑丈な作りと星形の優美なフォルムは、スペイン人到来以前のアンデス文明の高度な石工技術を示しています。
