西周と漢の間(約紀元前1千年紀)に作られた、驚くべき古代中国の珠玉の護符状ビーズです。装飾は貴重で極めて希少なターコイズの宝石から彫刻されています。中国の十二支の豚を描いており、富・繁栄・子宝の象徴で、約8,000年にわたり家族の繁栄と農業・儀式の中心的地位を示してきました。動物は解剖学的特徴が見事に再現され、吊り下げ用の穴が空いた完璧な体形をしています。博物館で展示される前に、元来のパティナと地表の沈着物が保持されたまま美しい青緑色を際立たせる専門的なクリアリング処理を受けています。*
