Moneda conmemorativa de gran módulo dedicada al centenario de la elevación de Gmunden a ciudad, con representación arquitectónica detallada del edificio histórico central en el anverso, de estilo sobrio y líneas limpias. El reverso muestra un águila estilizada de diseño moderno, acompañada por el valor facial destacado en tipografía geométrica. El ejemplar presenta contraste entre campos y relieves, con superficies parcialmente reflectantes y algunas marcas visibles en los campos, conservando no obstante una presencia general atractiva y característica de las emisiones conmemorativas austríacas de finales del siglo XX.
