結晶面を取り囲むのは、緑色から灰色の水晶の移行で、細かく縞状に帯状に流れ、やがて磨りガラスのアゲートへと滑らかにつながっています。磨かれた縁部には緑色の内包物—おそらくエピドートまたはクロライト—が見られ、作品にさらなる自然さと個性を与えています。
