甲冑兜 - Mali - 1920-1930

Very large wooden helmet/mask from Mali, from an indigenous tribe, inherited provenance, length 89 cm, fairly heavy, wearer's section with holes for hair and straw, covered with the original clay and leaf finish, used for rituals.
