La spilla, proviene dalla famiglia del Cavalier del Lavoro Sig. Monti che avevano una tenuta a Bertinoro, un comune in provincia di Forlì-Cesena in Emilia-Romagna (Italia). La Villa, prende il nome proprio dalla moglie. La mia prozia di nome Preziosa, prestava servizio presso la villa e, con il passare degli anni, aveva stretto un legame sincero e di amicizia con la famiglia Monti, in particolare con la moglie che, gli donò prima della sua morte, la spilla che, successivamente, la prozia le regalò a me. La famiglia Monti, soggiornava ( uno dei tanti posti di villeggiatura), ad Asiago (Vicenza/Italia) all’Hotel Croce Bianca frequentato da celebri star di tutto il mondo. Avevano anche una casa in via Corso Trieste a Roma (Italia), vicino alla casa del famoso tenore Beniamino Gigli. ... Beniamino Gigli (dati storici: Recanati, 20 marzo 1890 - Roma, 30 novembre 1957) è stato un tenore ed attore italiano, uno dei più celebri cantanti d'opera del XX secolo. A Bertinoro, nella proprietà del Signor Monti, è passato anche Gioacchino Murat, in francese Joachim Murat , generale francese, granduca di Berg e Clèves (r. 1806-1808) e re di Napoli (r. 1808-1815) e maresciallo dell'Impero con Napoleone Bonaparte.
Con questo tenore di vita, abiti eleganti e incontri importanti, la spilla veniva usata per adornare gli abiti indossati, o nel loro uso semplice o, la spilla era pensata per essere applicata nei vestiti da sera, con due gancetti o alternativamente, applicata nella parte centrale della borsa da sera, aggiungendo così, un tocco di eleganza e femminilità all’abito.
