新しい1199R にはエンジンのアップグレードだけでなく、公道レースのニーズの高まりを受け、4ポジション調整可能なスイングアームを採用。毎回完璧なセッティングを可能にします。
ボディは高品質で超軽量のカーボンファイバー部品をふんだんに追加し、1199S の重量を1.5kg削減。部品にはスイングアーム保護、ヒールガード、イグニッションスイッチカバー、リアショックカバー、フロント・リアマッドガード、クラッチカバーなどが含まれます。
Ducati 1199R は標準で同じ DDA+ システム（Ducati Data Analyser）を搭載しており、トラックを離れた後でもラップタイムや速度を確認することができます。
