Opera su supporto in cartone ligneo rivestito in seta nera, sulla cui superficie è applicato un bassorilievo in polpa di carta dello spessore di circa 7 mm. L'opera nasce dal calco di un antico scudo reinterpretato in chiave stilizzata, trasformando un elemento arcaico in una forma essenziale e contemporanea.

I rilievi sono valorizzati da applicazioni di foglia oro che ne esaltano il disegno e la matericità, mentre le superfici interne sono delicatamente acquerellate nelle tonalità del rosa, creando un raffinato contrasto cromatico con il fondo scuro
