A Goryeo dynasty celadon small tea bowl from South Korea in ceramic, with a gray-blue crackled glaze and three slip-trailed chrysanthemum patterns, measuring 5.2 cm high and 9.1 cm wide; provenance from a gallery/antique dealer, in fair condition with a repaired 1 cm crack inside the rim, plus surface scratches and a small base chip.

高麗時代に作られた小さな青磁の茶碗です。先が高く、安定した底部を持ち、胴は丸みを帯び、口縁はやや細めです。胴体には白黒の粘土で三つの菊模様を施しており、細口から装飾粘土を絞って持ち上げる“スリップ-トレイル”技法で描かれています。當時の高麗青磁は主に打ち込みの溝に粘土を充填する象嵌が主流であり、この作品のような“スリップ-トレイル”青瓷は現存品が極めて少ないです。立体感を生む浮き出しと、スリップ-トレイル特有のにじむ線が、象嵌には見られない素晴らしい質感を生み出しています。作品全体を覆う青磁は灰青色で、細かな暗色のひび模様釉表面を持ちます。高麗青磁のもう一つの特徴として、底に三つの石が置かれ焼成された跡が残る点があります。

SANKA is an store that sells oriental old pottery mainly from China and the Korean and Japan.
We are a group of researchers who have collected a large number of ceramics over more than 30 years.
The results of that research are published along with photographs in our online ceramics museum.
We have collected many wonderful ceramic pieces for our research, and we felt it would be a waste to keep these valuable items to ourselves, so we decided to sell them online like this.
To alleviate any concerns you may have about purchasing antique ceramics online and to ensure you can make a purchase with confidence, we have implemented the following measures.
1. Easy-to-understand photos, lots of them
There are at least 15 photos of ceramics per item, and 30 if there are more.
In addition, we will shoot from various angles such as horizontal, oblique, bird's-eye view, and close-up.
And I will definitely photograph the rim, bottom, glaze, clay, and flaws, and publish all the information about the ceramics in the form of photographs.
2. Describe the characteristics of ceramics in sentences
We always post information about our products in writing.
From general product information such as dimensions, to the appearance and condition of the ceramics that cannot be conveyed through photographs, we always communicate in writing.
