砂岩の薬用モタリウム（mortarium）で、古代インドシナ文化の遺物です。紀元前第一千年紀以前のものと考えられます。
良好な状態です。 清掃済みですが、素晴らしいアンティークの patina（風合い）が保存されています。 原物で、古代の手彫りで、美しい職人の手仕事です。 表面には使用と年齢の痕跡があります。
1990年代前半、ルアンプパバーン／ラオスの現地アート市場でゼルニク博士により購入されました。
