Description from the seller

Description:
Beautiful Japanese lacquer tea caddy (natsume) by lacquer artist Soko, crafted in an elegant tortoiseshell-style finish with subtle transparent reddish-brown tones. The interior rim is decorated with delicate plum blossom maki-e, while the underside of the lid features a refined gold pine tree design, expressing traditional Japanese aesthetics associated with longevity and seasonal beauty. The glossy lacquer surface displays rich depth and texture under light. Comes complete with the original signed wooden box. A sophisticated tea ceremony utensil and fine example of contemporary Japanese lacquer craftsmanship, suitable for tea practice, display, or collection. Very good condition with minor signs of age and careful storage.
