Pre-Columbian Nicoya jadeite double alligator pendant of ca. 300–500 A.D., 12.10 cm, in excellent condition with authenticity certificate and original status, sold with Spanish import/licensing process underway and provenance including a Spanish antiquarian and a UK auction house, acquired in 2023.
Description from the seller
Pre-Columbian, Costa Rica, Guanacaste/Nicoya Region, ca. 300 to 500 A.D. A gorgeous double headed alligator celt, with two suspension holes and a rib to the back, skillfully carved and string cut from a beautiful piece of green jadeite. Sold without stand.
Dimensions: 12,10 cm.
Condition: Excellent condition.

- The piece includes authenticity certificate. The piece is in process of obtaining
Spanish Export License ( Passport for European Union). This process can take between 2 and 4 weeks.

be requested by us, This process can take beteen 2 and 4 weeks.
According to Spanish legislation, items sent outside the European Union
are subject to export taxes and will be added to the invoice, at the
buyer\'s expense. These export fees are fixed on the final auction price
and the tax rate is not applied directly on the total value of the item
to be exported, but rather the different percentages by sections are
applied to it:
