Written by the renowned art historian Wilhelm Boeck, the book presents 45 full-page plates after Picasso’s original linocuts, including many of the artist’s most celebrated compositions depicting bulls, bullfighters, mythological scenes, female figures, landscapes, still lifes, and Mediterranean themes. The publication illustrates Picasso’s pioneering development of the reduction linocut process, a technique that transformed the possibilities of color printmaking and became one of the defining artistic innovations of his later career.
