記念コインは、皇帝マクシミリアン1世を称えるもので、裏面には右向きの横顔が描かれ、ルネサンス風の衣装と特徴的な帽子を身にまとい、質素で現実的なスタイルで顔立ちと衣装がよく表現されています。表面にはオーストリア独自の通常デザインが採用され、額面価値が連邦州の紋章に囲まれています。本品は肖像と紋章の最も高い部分に中等度の摩耗を示し、流通の痕跡がある領域と均一な灰色のパティーナを示しつつ、全体としてバランスのとれた読みやすい外観を保っています。
