ペルー中部海岸起源の前コロンブス期チャンカイ織物の断片。
デザインは、幾何学的な海鳥モチーフと波のようなジグザグ模様をリズミカルに配したもので、ダークブラウンの色調で、ベージュ色の地に対して描かれています。これらのモチーフは、チャンカイ沿岸の象徴風景を特徴づけるもので、スタイライズされた海鳥と水の象徴性は、地域と太平洋との深い結びつきを反映しています。下部の帯には、階段状のジグザグと掛け状の要素からなる強い波帯の模様が現れます。
断片は段ボールの背板に緩く固定されており、取り扱いや展示が容易です。取り外しは容易です。

断片状で、経年に伴う摩耗が見られます
上部には繊維の脱落と露出した経糸が見られます
色は強く、はっきりとしたままです
