この別格のカンポ・デル・シエロ隕石は、長い宇宙の年月の中で形成され、大気圏突入時に再び形づくられた、ニッケル含有鉄の典型的な金属組織を示しています。表面には不規則に削り取られた凹凸と塑性的流動構造が見られ、激しい高温と溶融を経た大気圏突入の痕跡を物語っています。輝く銀色の面の間には、より暗い酸化物の痕跡がきらめき、この標本に特に本物らしい古代のパティーナを与えています。
