Tipp & Co. (TCO) - Fire Engine / Ladder Truck - Clockwork Tinplate Toy - 1950s - German
A beautifully preserved, authentic 1950s tinplate clockwork ladder fire truck manufactured by the prestigious German toy company Tipp & Co. (TCO).
The vehicle is finished in its iconic vibrant red colour with intricate lithographed structural details, dashboard accents, and functional wheels. It features its original extendable metal ladder assembly, complete with manual crank mechanisms.
Notably, the lot includes the 2 original lithographed composition/plastic driver figures seated inside the cabin area,
The baseplate is smooth with no stamped markings, which is correct for this specific production variant.
Condition: In overall good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear, minor paint scuffs, and light oxidation on the metal ladder framework. The lithography remains bright and distinct.
Note: The clockwork mechanism has not been wound or tested for continuous spring tension. Winding key is not included.
