Dinu Corina - "The Golden Tree" - XL

見られていないときだけ夜に育つ木がある。根は金色で、枝はフレームの外にある何かを掴もうと伸びる。葉のはずだった場所には、ただ円形がいくつも並ぶ。何百もの円は、それぞれ終わらない思考、まだ回り続ける記憶、抜け出す前に渦の途中で捉えられた瞬間を表している。

The Golden Tree は木自体について描いた絵ではない。それは、一生の間に人の心の中に蓄積されていくすべてのもの—周囲を巡るもの、手放せないもの、考えを離れてからもなお回り続けるもの—を描いた絵である。

まず金色の地を作り、一本の螺旋が描かれる前にそれを傷つけて Aging させた。円の背後に見えるのは装飾ではなく深さであり、木はその深さから育っていく—流動的で解剖学的、伸びていく。螺旋は枝に沿って、思考が記憶を追う様に続く。樹冠が爆発する箇所では密で重なり合い、金の静寂へと落ちていくにつれて緩んでいく。

円は二つとして同じものはなく、瞬間もまた同じものはない。
