青みがかった透明ガラスの大きな円筒形瓶。
膨らんだ円筒胴部、丸みを帯びた肩、わずかに円錐形の壁、滑らかな曲面の底、pontilの痕跡なし。
とても短い円筒形の首、口縁は広がり、縁は丸みを帯び、腹部を下方へ折り返し、再び上方へ展開する縁飾り。肩から縁飾りへと多層の起伏のある縦筋を連ねる大きな曲がり取手。
ガラス本体には細い円形の切り込みが複数の層で磨耗され、土の沈着物が部分的に見られる。
これらの杯は、一般に食料品の保存用として用いられていた。
- ローマ帝国、地中海東部の可能性。
- 寸法：177 × 183 × 183 mm
- 鑑定年代：紀元前1世紀〜紀元後2世紀
- 出自：デュッセルドルフの私蔵コレクション、1970年代〜1980年代に取得。
- 文献：Verres antiques et de l'Islam、p.106、図274、
- 状態：良好。胴部に亀裂が走る箇所があるが安定。縁の修復跡および数カ所のテンション裂を除き、他は完品。
