This is an original Turkish flag from the Korean War in 1953, captured by the Chinese People's Volunteer Army from a Turkish soldier in the UN forces in northern Korea. A photograph of the flag's current owner is also included.

The flag is dated May 29, 1953, and bears the signature of Yu Zhizhou. It was captured in Yeonchon County, North Korea. On May 28, 1953, a large-scale battle broke out between the Chinese People's Volunteer Army and Turkish forces in Yeonchon County, resulting in heavy casualties on both sides, with the Volunteer Army ultimately emerging victorious. It is speculated that this Turkish flag originated from this battle.
