見事な短刀で、赤と黒の質感ある漆塗りの鞘が付属します。
鞘は赤黒のテクスチャーラッカー仕上げです。
刃はうのくびづくり（鵜の首のような形）のタイプで、日付と署名が入っていますが読みにくいです：備前国小濱(?) ... Osafune ju、Eisho shichinen nigatsu (Eisho 7年 1510年) の銘があり、M.SESKO の協力を得てとなっています。署名は正式鑑定の対象となります。
長さ nagasa 253 mm、反り 6 mm、元幅 24 mm、刃文は直刃、地鉄は柾目肌、帽子は小丸、 Habaki は shakudo で覆われた銅製。
鞘は修理を要し、目釘（mekugi）が1本欠けています。
