ヴィルヘルム II の右向き肖像を据えた3マルク銀貨で、線画は素朴かつ自然主義的。髭の特徴と輪郭の清潔さが際立つ。裏面には、意匠の荘厳さを備えたドイツ帝国の鷲が描かれ、翼・冠・中央の盾がはっきりと描写されている。原始的な艶や高浮きの凹凸が残り、全体的な美観は優れており、最上位の美術的魅力を保つ。第一次世界大戦以前の、 Guillerminian (ギリシャではない) 時代のドイツ帝国を象徴する発行であり、帝国力の象徴が力強く表現されている。
