What are Dzi beads:
Dzi beads are special stones that originate from Tibet and India. They are known for their healing properties, which is why they are often used in meditation and prayer. Dzi beads can help purify the mind and body from negative energy and promote positive thinking and positive vibrations.
Meanings of the Dzi beads:
Guanyin Dzi
The goddess Guanyin is known as the goddess of mercy and represents the purity of the soul and immense compassion. She harmonizes life and promotes balance. With her, one can find inner peace and bliss. She cleanses the soul, provides a special need for harmony, and helps to attain great kindness. With her one should find great love and, according to tradition, be blessed with eternal blessing and happiness.
Lotus Dzi
The Dzi-lotus bead has the ability to purify the mind and calm the heart. This leads to inner peace and clear consciousness. In Buddhism, the lotus symbolizes many things. But the main meaning of the Dzi-lotus is spiritual revelation and purity. This is the revelation of the true nature of a being, realized through enlightenment, compassion for all living beings, and liberation from one’s own passions.
9-Eyed Dzi
One of the most popular beads, the 9-Eyed Dzi, helps its owner to attain material and social luck, good health, and success. Additionally, it helps to gain compassion and fame and to dispel evil. It also functions as a protector. It helps to obtain the nine inclinations: sympathy, recognition, intelligence, popularity, dignity, power, ability to control life, prestige, and the elimination of all obstacles on the life journey.
Dragon Eye Dzi
The Dragon Eye Dzi stone stands for good karma. It is said that dragons live between heaven and earth in secret. The Dragon Eye Dzi connects the human owner with these dragons.
Big Man Dzi
The Big Man or the great personality Dzi draws helpful and important people, compassionate Samaritans, and mentors into your life to support you in achieving your goals and to ensure a smooth course of life.
Swastika Dzi
The Swastika Dzi or Hotu Dzi is an ancient symbol that embodies the radiant light of the Buddha from all sides. Hotu Dzi represents the law of the universe and all its aspects. It helps in studying this universal law and protects the bead’s owner in legal proceedings and other legal matters.
2-Eyed Dzi
Two-eyed Dzi beads are said to bring balance to life, energy, and relationships.
5-Eyed Thunder Dzi
These beads are said to bring success in many areas of life and are highly sought after by Feng Shui enthusiasts. Their magical effects allegedly include the ability to quickly ascend the career ladder, increase intelligence, amplify the impact of auspicious symbols around the wearer, summon joyful blessings, and achieve success in all endeavors.
Dragon Dzi Pearl
The Dragon Dzi Pearl has a pronounced masculine Yang energy and is a symbol of masculine strength. Therefore this Tibetan talisman is best worn by Yang-energy representatives, i.e., men. This Tibetan talisman helps to find and strengthen all masculine qualities.
Dragon, mythical creature and magical being that, according to legend, can be a source of life and life forms. The Dragon Dzi Pearl helps to unite the three essential components of life: body, mind, and soul into a single harmonious organism. Such a connection gives the wearer of this Dzi good physical health, much luck, success in business, and great spiritual power.
1-Eyed/Mountain Dzi
The 1-Eyed/Mountain Dzi focuses on the revelation of talents and personal development with regard to creativity and the nurturing of individual potential. It can stimulate thought processes, grant greater intellectual capacity, emphasize cognitive learning processes, and thus be helpful for certain professional groups that demand high cognitive potential. This should aid information intake and data processing and lead to better performance and proof of performance.
It can also provide constant new ideas and innovations for creative professions and positively influence the career, whether employed or freelance.
Often the 1-Eyed Dzi is shown together with a mountain peak, which is also used as a career-promoting symbol, and together with both symbols it is supposed to promote career development and thus secure existence.
3-Eyed Dzi
The 3-Eyed Dzi stands for success, wealth, a long life full of health and happy experiences. This is one of the most powerful beads to obtain financial wealth as well as health, family, love, happiness, career, wealth, and creative success. It also strengthens the bond in family and partnership.
6-Eyed Dzi
The “6-Eyed” Dzi bead describes in Buddhism the concept of the 6 existences of human existence, from the lowest level, described in the Christian world as hell, to the highest level of human existence, paradise. The lowest level describes a state of self-destruction, i.e., dominant negative forces that infect the mind and drive a person to madness. Through this mental state, a person loses freedom. The following stages describe the improvement to goodness, mental health, gratitude and appreciation in small (and large) things life provides. The highest level describes paradise, i.e., absolute contentment, bliss, and calm of a person with themselves, their mind and life, characterized by harmony and balance. Only through mental control can a person learn self-cultivation and self-knowledge and thus free their mind, which is conducive to a long and worry-free life. According to tradition, this Dzi is said to help keep the mind from dominating fears and thoughts and to walk the path to complete enlightenment and healing.
7-Eyed Dzi
For this stone, career and wealth are in the foreground. It also promises health and a long life.
10-Eyed Dzi
The “10-Eyed” Dzi is also known as the “cleansing Dzi,” because it is said to purify the soul and free it from all obstacles that stand in the way of success, both personally and professionally. Accordingly, the 10-Eyed Dzi is also said to be a strong supportive force in business matters.
It is also believed to liberate from misfortune and bad karma. Thus it is interesting for those who feel they are not blessed with success or are being pursued by a streak of bad luck. Those who feel blocked in life, unable to realize dreams and ideas, can regain more joy of life and hope through the 10-Eyed Dzi.
13-Eyed Dzi
The 13-Eyed Dzi is the symbol of 5 Dhayani Buddhas and 8 auspicious signs. The 13 eyes of the Dzi bead stand for mental calm, create a quiet mind, and help control negative emotions. This is an excellent Dzi for those suffering from depression. This Dzi can become a source of power that harmonizes well and energizes your body, giving you a sense of wholeness, balance, and empowerment.
Kubera Dzi
The Dzi-Kubera bead is one of the most popular Tibetan talismans aimed at accumulating wealth. This Dzi symbolizes the god of wealth, Kubera or Jambhala. These are various aspects of the god of wealth and abundance, which differ in Buddhist and Hindu traditions. The power of these gods of wealth is also present in other Dzi beads.
Spider Dzi
The Spider Dzi bead is a bead for active people. The Spider Dzi bead helps its wearer navigate information overload, plan all meetings and activities, and not get lost in life’s constant changes. This bead is particularly recommended for children and students who are stressed at school/university and have various extracurricular activities.
Turtle Dzi
The Dzi bead, the Shell of Longevity, symbolizes one of the four heavenly animals in Feng Shui—the turtle. The Turtle Dzi bead extends its owner’s life, grants health, and helps recover from illnesses more quickly. In addition, this Dzi provides stability, luck, and has a function of support and protection.
Ruyi Dzi
The “Ruyi” is a life-affirming Dzi bead and can give its wearer positive energy. Translated, it means “Wish Dzi.” In Buddhism, the slightly S-shaped, spear-like symbol stands for a kind of wand and is supposed to fulfill even the greatest heart’s desires.
Yin Yang Dzi
The symbol of Yin and Yang means translated as “the utmost” or “the ultimate.” It is not only a symbol in itself but represents a philosophy that has existed for ages. In Daoism, Yin and Yang stand for two opposite yet complementary forces. Yin Yang includes all polarities on earth: heaven and earth, summer and winter, light and shadow, cold and warmth, sun and moon, day and night, man and woman, etc., which are opposite each other but cannot exist without each other, as they are in harmony and form a larger whole.
The color black here stands for darkness, calm, the feminine, while white symbolizes brightness, i.e., the sun and warmth as well as the masculine. The opposing energies or poles form a harmonious energy flow and should establish balance in the wearer's life, which can bring more balance, calm, and composure to everyday life.
Tiger Tooth Dzi
The tiger is known in Chinese mythology as a creature of special strength. Passionate, energetic, combative, and incredibly brave are the most telling attributes of the tiger. The Tiger Tooth bead is supposed to empower its wearer with the same strength and fighting spirit. The tiger knows no obstacles and is known for getting what it wants. This self-confidence, willpower, and strong focus on the goal are attributes the wearer should also acquire. Thus, it is a good ally in the professional field, but can also help people who lack courage and self-confidence to pursue their goals with more perseverance, determination, and bite. The “Tiger Tooth” is considered a power-generating talisman that especially benefits those who often have to overcome obstacles and need new life courage.
Insect Dzi
The Dzi stone “Insect” is also called Dzi “Luck.” It is said that the Dzi “Insect” contributes to a long and healthy life and is said to protect its wearer from illnesses and accidents according to tradition. Similar to the Dzi “Turtle,” it should thus grant longevity to the wearer and bless them with happiness. The symbol shown resembles an insect with a head on both sides. The back shows a bat, which here stands for blessed peace. An older variant of the Dzi “Insect” shows a spider on the back. The bat symbolizes contentment, good health, harmony, and balance.
The Dzi is said to help its owner listen to their body and develop a proper understanding of health to recognize early signs of potential illness. It should also help develop a healthy body image and assess what the body, our most important instrument of our existence, needs to stay healthy in the long term. Focusing on the body’s needs is a fundamental function of our physical and mental abilities. Maintaining physical and mental health implies a healthy and varied diet, a healthy lifestyle, and a life filled with joy and love.
Bodhi Dzi
The “Bodhi” Dzi stands for kindness, warmth, a strong sense of justice, and general wisdom. It endows the wearer with a generous, compassionate, and forgiving heart. Wearing the “Bodhi” can help people find their destined and correct path. “Bodhi” also denotes a revered fig tree in Buddhist history under which the Buddha is said to have found protection and ultimately enlightenment during meditation. Translated, “Bodhi” stands for enlightenment and wisdom and thus also describes the mental state
