Description

Original Trix Express H0 scale diesel railcar set, Reference 280, manufactured in Western Germany.
The set consists of the Deutsche Bundesbahn VT 75.904 powered railcar together with its matching 2nd class trailer coach. It is presented in its original Trix Express yellow box and includes both original instruction sheets.
A very attractive vintage collector's set, preserved in original condition and professionally serviced to ensure reliable operation.


Mechanical Condition :

The powered railcar has undergone a complete mechanical service.
During servicing:
- the motor unit was completely dismantled;
- all hardened original grease ("Verharzung"), typical of vintage Trix models, was carefully removed;
- gearbox, drivetrain and moving components were thoroughly cleaned;
- the mechanism was lubricated using high-grade synthetic oil intended for precision mechanical applications.
Following the service, the model runs smoothly in both directions with reliable current collection.
The original Permamotor performs quietly for its age.


Lighting :

The original directional lighting functions correctly.
White and red lights automatically change according to the direction of travel, as intended by the manufacturer.

Cosmetic Condition :

Both vehicles remain in very good vintage condition.

The original presentation box shows moderate signs of age and storage but remains structurally sound and displays well.

The steam locomotive has been professionally serviced using the same procedure as the VT 75 railcar. The mechanism was dismantled, cleaned, old hardened grease removed, and the drivetrain relubricated with high-grade synthetic oil. The locomotive has been tested and runs smoothly.
The additional locomotive and coaches show visible cosmetic signs of age and use, including paint wear and handling marks consistent with their vintage. They are included as complementary items and should be regarded primarily as attractive additions to the lot.
