希少な未使用のスパイ切手、元のゴムと周縁付き。ゴム面に真贋スタンプ。紙にはこの切手に特徴的な木材の小さな繊維が数本、通常の状態として含まれています。スキャンを参照。

"戦時中、英国戦時省の依頼により、ロンドンの Waterlow and Sons Ltd. が英国情報局のために、1½セント灰色の偽造切手を作成したとされる。切手はスパイ活動に使用されたとされる。この（公式？）偽造は水印なしで発行され、縁は11番だった。戦後、未使用のものが市場に出回った"（NVPH 2026）。

Met de gebruikelijke paar kleine originele houtvezeltjes in het papier, kenmerkend voor dit zegel.

"Tijdens de oorlogsjaren zou in opdracht van het Britse Ministerie van Oorlog bij Waterlow and Sons Ltd. te Londen t.b.v. de Britse Intelligence Service een vervalsing van de 1½ cent grijs zijn vervaardigd. De zegel zou gebruikt zijn voor spionagedoeleinden. Deze (officiële?) vervalsing is zonder watermerk uitgegeven en getand 11. Na afloop van de oorlog zijn ongebruikte exemplaren op de markt verschenen" (NVPH 2026).
