銀貨で、表面には太陽を頂く三つの火山が描かれ、グアテマラの象徴的アイコンとして領土と自由を象徴する、素朴だがはっきりとしたスタイル。裏面には中央に額面 1/4 Real があり、周囲は植物の冠に囲まれ、下部には五つ星が添えられており、中米連邦を連想させる。本品は保存状態が優れており、浮き彫りは鋭く、地は清浄でわずかに銀色の色調と柔らかな錬度感があり、元の輝きが引き立つとともに、品質の高い鋳造に相応しい中心性の良さがうかがえる。
