Description from the seller
赤ジャスパーで彫られた小さな古代エジプトの蝿のお守り。頭部を形成する長方形の頂部から体が細くなり、先端近くに刻まれた線状の刻線と二つの目で強調される。丸い翼は側面から伸び、体が細くなる三角形の先端で合流する。デザインは表と裏の両面に施されている。石には自然の濃い筋が特徴。お守りは吊り下げ用に縦方向に穿孔されている。年齢相応の摩耗の痕跡が見られる。
エジプト人は他の宝飾品とともにお守りを着けていた。装飾的である一方、実用的な役割も果たし、着ける人に力と保護を与えると考えられていた。多くのアミュレットはミイラの包帯の内側から発見されており、死者を来世へ備えるために用いられていた。アミュレットは種類や形状によって意味が異なる。蝿のお守りは繁殖力と関連づけられていると考えられている。
寸法: （推定）L 1cm x W 0.8cm
