標本はガラス光沢を持つ多数の結晶を呈し、ドリュースフォームの包覆と微結晶の集合体が表面の大部分を覆っています。いくつかの結晶ははっきりとした形と高い透明度を示しますが、他の結晶は互いに接触しているか、自然な不完全さと小さな割れが見られ、この種の鉱化の典型です。
淡色の基質はディオプタジアの濃い緑と心地よいコントラストを生み出し、標本の立体感を際立たせ、顕著な美的印象を与えます。 自然の標本で、細部が豊富に含まれ、銅系鉱物のコレクターにも、展示用の一品としても理想的です。
